Random Act of Kindness

My husband is quite a guy!! On Sunday we were coming home from Church and Michael says "Her flag is really messed up!". Then he said, "Why don't we go buy her a new one!" That is just what we did. When Michael got home from work we brought it over to the older lady who lives across the street. She is a widow and her husband was in the Air Force. While Michael was putting up the flag I went inside and chatted with her for a while. The lady lives alone and doesn't have many visitors, so I think I might go see her again.

December Daily Album

I purchased the Two-up album at Walmart. I make the letters and swirls with my Cricut! Very cool. The Swirl on the journaling cards fit perfectly. I couldn't have done better if I would have measured it. I love when things come together like that!

December Daily!

So I am game to play along with Ali Edwards and others on the December Daily project! Mine is going to be really simple!!!! I plan to get a red 2 up photo album. 1 section will be the photo of the day and the other will feature my journaling!
Here are my pictures for December 1st and December 3rd :D

Michael helped me make decorations for the media center!

Ben and Stephanie dressed up today to help me for the "Family Storytime". They are such good sports. Ben really likes his pirate costume. He wore this same outfit this summer when we went to Scallywag tag! We hijacked the bus when the kids arrived. We made them walk the plank!

Beauty in the City

Michael and I went downtown to the bank this afternoon. Our bank is close to the post office! What a beautiful old building! Taking these pictures really made me want to take a photo tour of Cincinnati! The wonder of digital photography. You never have to settle with a horrible photo.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! Enjoy your Turkey! Yet, I'm resting up for
BLACK FRIDAY!!!!!!!

I'm going to get my Christmas Present! A Cricut Expressions! Thanks Mom and Dad! As my former students at St. Johnsbury Academy use to say, "She has elbows and she is not afraid to use them"!

As any normal life artist would do I will bring my camera to document the insanity known as Black Friday. There are just some things you need to experience at least once in life. For example, New Years Eve in Time Square! I've done that! Go to the midnight showing of a movie! Done that! Now early morning BLACK FRIDAY shopping is next on my list! Wish me luck!!!

Of Coin Jars, Chocolate Brownies, and Guilty Pleasures!

This jar is now sitting on top of my computer. This is my computer savings account. This my friends is full of gold dollars! When this jar is full I will be able to purchase a new computer! Yahooo! No more blue screen of death here people! I am convinced that my present computer knows that this jar is here and knows what this jar means. It should be afriad, very afraid, because it is being replace! Ha! Ha! Ha!

I spoil the girls in the scrapbooking club! I make yummy treats! Last week made these ooey-gooey brownies! Yummy!

Here is the turkey that I used for one of my little songs during story time!
Ok...I have to admit that I have bought into the whole Twilight hyteria! Ok...I know I'm 29 years old, not some Teenie-Bopper, but these books are good. Good as in the sense of Soap Opera good and cheesy romance books good. The Twilight series is just a guilty pleasure! You don't always have to be reading some intellectual book!
My mind is made up! I am getting a Cuttlebug! It's cheap and it does it's job! Plus it's just so cute! I've solicited the opinions of several scrappers and the Cuttlebug comes hightly recommended! So...The day after Thanksgiving...it will be mine!

Almost Friday 5
When did you last use the edge of a coin (or a knife blade) as a screwdriver? This past summer, I was trying to put batteries in a toy. So I thought a penny would make a great screwdriver. Nope...it didn't. The knife blade worked!

When did you last use a wire coat-hanger to break into a car?
Last fall, I locked my keys in the car. They were sitting nicely on the passenger seat. My passenger side window was slightly ajar! So the director at work and myself rigged up a contraption with a giant plastic candy cane and a wire coat hanger to get my keys out the window! Ha! It workd too!

When did you last use food or drink as medication?
Does Hot Chocolate count. I'm feeling a little bit chilled right now! So I'm drinking peppermint Hot Chocolate!

When did you last use your cellular telephone as a flashlight? Yesturday morning! I used Michael's cellphone as a flashlight to find the cellphone charger to plug in his cellphone! I use my cellphone as a flashlight quite often! Especially when I'm trying to find a work shirt in the bedroom while Michael is still sleeping!

When did you last use a paper clip for any purpose other than to clip paper?
I'm sure it was to get something small out of a toy! :D :D

I have the grumpies today!!!

I read the book this week during story time. It's about a little girl who wakes up on the wrong side of the bed. The Three grumpies. Grumpy, Grumpyer, and Grumpiest were waiting for her. The Grumpies make her day horrible. By smiling and laughing she is able to git rid of the Grumpies! What a awesome book. Wish I could take the advice!

I have the Grumpies!!!! I am looking through all my digital picture files looking for the pictures of Michal and my Dad at the Air Muesuem. I just can't find them. So there goes my Christmas present for DAD :P. Also I am sooooooo jealous that my Mom bought the Cricut Expression today at Walmart. I really want one. Yet, we need a need computer more. This computer STINKS. It keeps BLUE SCREEN OF DEATHING. I want to throw it out the window! We've had it "FIXED" twice, but I don't think it really was. While being "FIXED" it never BLUE SCREENED OF DEATH" for them. So they were never able to fix the problem. ARGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!

The Cricut Expression! What my Mom has that I REALLY WANT!
The stuff I lugged to work on Tuesday!

Scrapbooking Club is catching on!!!

For those Stargate fans this is for you!!!! I saw this one night while sitting in traffic!

I'm reading Twilight just to see what all the fuss is about! It is very good so far!
